Today they celebrated Wyatt's birthday in his kindergarten class. We brought in a treat which was powdered doughnut holes and apple juice. The class sang to Wyatt, he got a birthday crown and sticker, and then the class asks him 5 questions. Everyone had their hands up but he could only choose 5 friends to answer their questions. It was fun to watch. Today also ended up being the kindergarten graduation so it made for a crazy busy morning. Luckily everything worked out okay in the end. We were worried about everyone getting their church clothes messy from the doughnuts since they were powdered but everyone did great and didn't get too messy. The video is of the class singing to Wyatt.

Wyatt's Kindergarten Graduation!!
Wyatt with his Kindergarten Teacher Mrs. Willson.
Today Wyatt had his Kindergarten Graduation. He did so well. All of the kindergarten classes sang so many cute songs. Wyatt even had a speaking part. He did awesome. He has been practicing for weeks. This morning he said that he had waited for this day for so long. He was so excited. I think he was a little nervous but he has practiced for weeks so he was ready to go. He did an awesome job. I just can't believe that the school year is almost done. I think Wyatt has 6 more days of school left then he will be out for the summer. He keeps saying that he is going to be a 1st grader as soon as he is done with school. I can't believe how fast this year of school has flown by. Wyatt has learned so much this year. It has been amazing.

Golden Key!!
Wyatt earned his Golden Key Award from school. It is a hard award to earn. The teacher even told us that not all kids will earn it before the school year is done. He had to to a lot of blending words and know when certain vowels are silent or make a variety of sounds. We worked on it a little bit last week and he came home with his award yesterday. We are so excited for him and also very proud. He has accomplished so much this year while he has been in Kindergarten. It is awesome!!
Mother's Day!!
Wyatt had seen me making flower arrangements and wrist corsages for Mother's Day. He picked these flowers and asked me to tie them together. He then sprayed them with water and put them in one of my wrist corsage boxes. His friend Justin then helped him to wrap it. He gave it to me on Mother's Day and had me take them to church with me. It was very cute, sweet and thoughtful of him.
This was such a cute idea. A friend of mine gave me these cookies for Mother's Day. I love the card. It says it all and is very true.
This is a necklace that Wyatt made for me for Mother's Day at school. It is very cute. I wore it to church on Sunday as well.
Doug also got me some of my favorite lotion that I love from Victoria Secret. He also made dinner that night as well. It was a fun Mother's Day.
Doug's Birthday!!
For Doug's birthday this year we had his family over for a BBQ. We also celebrated his sister Cheryl's birthday as well. Their birthday's are 5 days apart. It was fun to get together.

Tee Ball Video!!
Here is a video of Wyatt's first hit. We had his coach throw it to him. He is used to hitting balls that are pitched to him. He is trying to get use to hitting a ball from the Tee. We have been practicing with him and he is getting better all the time. He is loving Tee ball. Wyatt's coach is Tyler Clark which is his best friend Justin's dad. He was very excited about that.
Wyatt & His Teeball Team!!!
This was Wyatt's first practice. He did great. It was really windy this night. His team chose the name for their team this night too. They are the Silverlake Lions.
We got Wyatt signed up for Tee ball this year. It has been really fun. He practices on Tuesday nights and most of his games are on Saturdays. He had his first game this last Saturday. He did awesome. He was so nervous before the game started but once they got going he did awesome. He caught 4 balls and threw them to base. He also had the coach pitcher the ball to him and he also hit the ball off of the tee. He had a fun time. He was very serious and focused on the game. We tried to take a picture of him and have him smile but he was watching the game. They only play about 2 innings per game because they run out of time. He has 13 kids on his team. There is also another Wyatt on his team as well. It will be a fun season.
Here is a photo Doug took at Wyatt's first Tee Ball Game.
These are photos from Wyatt's second Tee Ball Game. He is doing really well and having a blast.
Cats Outdoors!!
We let the cats go outside for a little bit over the weekend. It was quite interesting and a little bit funny because they didn't really know what to do with themselves once they were outside. Wyatt's cat puffball didn't want to come back in. He tried to make a dash for it. My cat Jinx ran straight back into the house. He is a bit more cautious about the outdoors. Now they want to go out more often. What have we done.
