Tracy Aviary!!

These were the birds that were in the bird show.  They were fun to watch and learn about.

Wyatt trying to pose for a picture.  I think the sun was in his eyes.  My dad was trying to make some shade with his hat.

They had some peacocks there.  This one had flown up on top of a building then flew back down right over us.  It then wandered around pretty close to everyone.  It was neat to see.

Some flamingos.  They were a hoot.  They were all moving their feet so quickly and staying close to each other.  It was almost like they were dancing synchronised.  They were funny to watch.

On Thursday last week, Wyatt and I went to the Tracy Aviary with my mom and dad.  It was a really neat place.  They had a bird show where they brought in 3 different types of birds and talked about each one.  They also walked around with each bird so everyone could see them.  They also answered questions as well.  Wyatt even asked a question about the macaw type bird.  We walked around and saw all of the other birds in the Aviary.  They have quite a variety of birds there.  They have a bald eagle, golden eagles, flamingos, pelicans, ducks, swan, different types of owls, peacocks, etc.  We fed some of the ducks while we were there too.  It was a really fun activity.  It was also a very beautiful day.

For another fun activity for Spring Break we went to Wheeler Farm on our way home!!  It was a fun place to go check out.  It was fun to see all of the animals, go on a tractor ride, feed the geese and ducks, etc.

Spring Break (Conference Center Tour)!!

This photo is a picture of a fountain that they have on the roof of the Conference Center.

A couple of photos of the Salt Lake Temple from the roof of the Conference Center.

Wyatt posing for a photo on the roof of the Conference Center.

Wyatt is on Spring Break from school this week.  We went up to Salt Lake and did some fun activities.  We went to the Clark Planetarium and watched a 3D movie called Flight of the Butterflies, went to Taffy Town, went to Temple Square, got a tour of the Conference Center and even went up on the roof, had dinner at the Cheese Cake Factory, went swimming for a minute at the pool at the hotel, etc.  We stayed at the Little America hotel.  The conference center tour is amazing.  You get to see original pictures that were painted of Book of Mormon stories, they have all of the busts of the prophets, pictures of the prophets and apostles, etc.  We also got to go on the top level of where people can sit during an event.  It is very high up.  There was an organist there practicing for General Conference this weekend.  There was also a woman playing a piano to listen to while you were walking through the tour.  The roof was amazing.  They have water fountains, trees, flowers, natural grass areas, a black wall with pictures of people sandblasted on it, etc.  It is amazing the view of the temple as well.  It was a wonderful family activity.

Easter!!

He looks like such a little man!!

Eagle Mountain City Easter Egg Hunt!!

As a tradition each year we take Wyatt to the Eagle Mountain City Easter Egg Hunt.  He did awesome this year.  Doug told him to go to the middle of the field to grab eggs and that is what Wyatt did.  He said that he was trying to go all the way to the back.  He was all by himself for a while.  He ended up getting 25 eggs.  Inside one of the eggs he got a $1 coin which was really neat.  He was so excited.  After the Easter Egg Hunt we always go back to Village Pizza for lunch.  It is a fun tradition.
