Living Planet Aquarium!!

Back in April during Wyatt's spring break we went to check out the Living Planet Aquarium in their new building.  It is huge.  It has everything divided out into different sections like polar section that has penguins and the dessert area, etc.  There are so many cool exhibits to see.  The penguins were awesome, and there are birds, sting rays, ducks, fish, jellyfish, frogs, etc.  We also tried walk across the net which was fun.  It was great to check out.  We also went back in August before school started.

These are some more pictures when we went in August.  It is really cool.  They have a tunnel that you walk through that has a huge fish tank around it.  It also has sting rays, sharks, turtles, fish, etc. that swim by and up and over you as you walk through.

Catching a Leprecaun!!

This year we tried to catch a leprechaun.  We made a trap out of a paper towel roll and tried to catch a tricky leprechaun.  He did leave behind some treats and a coin for Wyatt!!  So fun!!

Wyatt's first lost teeth!!

Wyatt lost his first two teeth within a week of each other.  The first one he lost the last week of January and the second one came out on February 1st.  They were so loose it was driving me batty.  I don't think Wyatt enjoyed loosing them too much but it was nice to get them out.  It is crazy how long is has been since they have been out.

Circus Fun!!

As a fun family tradition my parents take all of the grandkids to the circus held in Farmington.  It is so fun.  The kids get their faces painted, go on an elephant or camel or pony ride, eat yummy food and snow cones, and watch a great show.  They always have a blast.

Christmas!!

Wyatt in his new pajama's and slippers from us on Christmas Eve at Doug's family party.

A letter to Wyatt from Santa and the cookies and carrots that Santa and the reindeer enjoyed.
Wyatt on his new scooter that he got from Santa.  That is what he asked for this year.

This Christmas was very busy and wonderful.  We had family parties that we attended which were very fun.  Unfortunately Doug ended up with the flu Christmas Eve and Christmas day so he didn't really get to enjoy the holiday much.  Luckily he is feeling better now.  This year we thought was going to be tough because Doug has been unemployed for a while now but we were blessed and humbled by service that was provided to us from friends and family.  It was overwhelming but needed at the same time.  We were able to have a very nice Christmas this year.  Thank you to everyone who made it possible.

Snow Day!!

Wyatt and I went outside one day to play in the snow.  We built a good sized snowman and a mini snowman on our deck.  Wyatt also made a few snow angels while he was out.  It was fun to get out while we did have some decent snow to use.

North Pole Express!!

This year we decided to go on the North Pole Express up in Heber City.  It was so much fun!!  We went on the first class car of the train.  It was really neat.  They had a red carpet to get on the train and had elves waiting at the beginning as well.  We got our own hot chocolate mug, a special boarding ticket, were served hot chocolate with whipping cream, had a chocolate chip cookie, had a visit from Mrs. Claus (she gave everyone Santa's favorite cookie recipe), we sang Christmas carols, and went by the North Pole Village where we picked up Santa.  Santa visited with all of the kids and gave them a special bell.  Wyatt has loved his bell.  It was a really neat ride.  We also had a few extra visitors toward the end of the ride.  We had the Grizzles, Real Salt Lake, and a few other teams mascots come in and say hi.  That was a surprise.  We all had a wonderful time!!
